i had my first directed study class. it’s called “glycoproteins” with one of my professors. i got make the growth medium, which was exciting. i like to be doing stuff rather than sitting and listening. the only that sucked was washing the glassware, it’s tedious.
i was sick and exhausted the entire day. nothing exciting happened at all. oh but i did take a nap in the tv lounge while i was on duty. no one was in there with me and it was all nice and quiet. so then i wake up randomly to find 2 residents sitting on the couch in complete silence cuddling. they didn’t turn the tv on or anything, just sat there. then i went back to sleep. i woke up and there were still there, and then they started making airplane noises at each other. it was the weirdest thing. then i looked at them funny and they left soon after.
i had a nice evening out with my 2 closest friend’s here at school, we went out to dinner and got stuffed. then i worked from 10-midnight covering a shift for a coworker, nothing exciting happened. very normal day.
i had my weekly shift at the veterinary emergency center. i think it was my favorite day by far. the lady i was shadowing was extremely friendly and she made the shift go by quickly. i also got to witness my first surgery. they did exploratory surgery on a mastiff that had stopped eating.
and on a side note, happy birthday to dianne! i sang to her in her voicemail, she better have loved it.
so how about i was stressing out all weekend about having those damn plates finished, we had to have 10 in the leather hard stage and have them trimmed, and he made us THROW AWAY 5 of the 10. I WAS EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THOSE PLATES. it was like trying to decide which 5 of my 10 kids i liked the least
i spent my morning traveling from home back to school. i was sick and had to drive with a box of tissues in the passenger seat. and then i spent a couple hours in the ceramics room when i got back, to finish trimming the plates i had to make.
